Fisheye effect

Normally 3D computer graphics use simple perspective projections. They are mathematically correct, but on large viewing angles this projections become often very unnatural.
The krpano Flash Panorama Viewer is able to apply an adjustable fisheye-distortion on the view. With that effect many panoramas look more realistic and natural.

Without fisheye-distortion, lines are straight, but have a look at the heads of the people!

Now with an low fisheye-distortion, heads look much more natural.

An extreme example of the fisheye-effect - an 180° full distorted fisheye view.

Click on any picture to try it out...

 • use the fisheye ON/OFF button to switch between 2 predefined settings
 • or use the "options"-plugin (the button in the right-top) to change the fisheye settings

Thanks to Ayrton Camargo for the panorama which is used here in this demonstration.
