running/testing locally
UPDATE NOTE - Version 1.0.3 and greater:
changing the security settings is now only necessary to use the the Javascript Interface locally.
To use the
krpano Panorama Viewer locally, the security settings of the Flash player must be adapted.
Normally it is not allowed for a Flash program to access the local file system.
However in order to obtain access, the Flash Player provides so-called
"trusted folders" - these folders can be accessed.
So the folder which contains the SWF file (e.g. kprano.swf) must be added to these trusted folders.
First of all - start the Flash
"Settings manager". Either in Flash via right-click and "Settings/Advanced" or via this
link.
Then the settings manager opens in a new browser window.
1. Select
"Global Security Settings Panel"
2. Click on
"Edit locations..." and then
"Add location...".
3. Select
"Browse for folders..." and look for the folder which contains the SWF file and select it, then click
"Confirm".
4. After that the folder should appear in the list below.
Now this folder and all sub-folders are
trusted. Now the Flash player can access files in these folders.
The browser window can be closed now, the settings are already saved.
