Snow plugin for HTML5

Hi,

here a quick pre-release - the krpano snow plugin is now also ready for HTML5 (Desktop, iPhone, iPad, Android, ...).

The settings and the usage are exactly the same like in the Flash version.
Just include additionally also the snow.js via - alturl="snow.js" - that's all.

Here a demo with several different snow images and styles:

http://krpano.com/panos/xmas/

(the page has set html5=prefer to start directly with the HTML5 viewer when possible)

The plugin itself will be included in the next full release, but for the meantime it can be already downloaded here.
Edit: The HTML5 snow plugin is now included in the 1.16 version.

Best regards,
Klaus

Hi,
is this also gonna happen with the fireworks plugin?
Currently there are no plans to port the fireworks plugin also to html5...
I think the current fireworks plugin is not that nice and versatile like the snow plugin - or?
(add additionally there might be the problem on iOS with the 'only one sound at one time' limitation...)

Best regards,
Klaus

Hi, great try ! I wonder if it would be possible in the next releases that the imageurl type could be either swf or animated gif! This will allow more beautiful creations! Klaus *question*

xml of flower shower

Hello

Thank you for praising.
'Flower shower' was made only from description of xml.

Two pictures of a petal are prepared.

Source code

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
<action name="fchenge1">
tween(plugin[flower1].alpha,0.3,0.01,default,
if(flag1 != 1 ,set(plugin[flower1].imageurl,pink1.png); set(flag1,1);,
set(plugin[flower1].imageurl,pink1a.png); set(flag1,2););
tween(plugin[flower1].alpha,0.8,0.01);
delayedcall(0.13,fchenge1()););
</action>

'flower1' is snow plugin.
By this action, the transparency of a petal and a picture are switched continuously.

Three sorts of these were used in flower shower.

Various effects will be acquired by change of speed, transparency, and action.

I am pleased if it becomes helpful.

Confetti

Thanks Klaus,
Happy New Year!

To All... Happy New Year!

For the snow plugin, anyone clever enough to turn it into multi-colored confetti? Maybe even with ribbon strip confetti?

That would be great for Bday parties, etc.

Brillant idea, but I guess it would make it even mire stunning if you use it with only a few leaves occasionally falling down.
(Not sure If the plugin allows to change parameters at all).
