HI,
I am wondering if there is a video dropplet for 1.18 or does the video XML still need to be coded manually?
Thanks,
Travis

Hi,
When you just use the krpano example from the latest download or so, you just need to change the video files and the posters.
I don't see the need of a droplet.
Can you explain what you want the droplet to do?

Ease of use.
Working through the example right now. Besides changing the video and poster you need to gather and repath the items it is calling from other directories. You also need to manually change the XML if you want more or less than 3 examples.
Not to mention I only want HTML5 not Flash.
.....a dropplet would be much easier than modifying the XML every time I need to quickly send something to a client.
You can do it once and use that as a template.
I have split up the code in usefull parts.
Made different templates, for scenes for example, mixed media etc etc..
Just drop the right files in the video folder and go.
I concur that something better needs to be done for krpano 360 videos than just the included example in the distribution. I've used the included video example with the AirPano videos, and it plays back really poorly compared to what is actually hosted for that example on the krpano.com site. If you dig out the source from the online examples, they are different.
I did 360 videos a couple years ago with krpano and flash, but the html5 support is quite a bit different as far as the hoops to get it to work.
How about a tutorial on making the 360 pano videos for flash & html5 support using krpano? The 360 video is about to become a big deal with Oculus/FB launching their consumer product and YouTube is going 360 video in just a few weeks.
Thanks,
Brian
I am in the same boat. Where is a tutorial for working with .mp4 files?
I have the player template that I purchased from 360heros.com however, I receive "license expired" when I try to open a .mp4 file in my browser. I have a licensed copy of krpano tools. but I dont even see why this is necessary. The droplets dont support video format of .mp4. Stuck.
Hi,
I agree that there should be an easier way to use videos and that's already on my list of course!
Best regards,
Klaus

Ok, So I am beginning to understand little by little. I am able to generate license files and copy them into my player template. I have made sure to change my video file to video.mp4 as the default. Now when I execute the index.html I am just getting a black screen. At least that is better than license expired. Anyone have any recommendations? I would be happy to post code or anything if it helps.
Problem solved. The template from 360heros.com is faulty. The .xml file is not working properly. I used the viewer folder from KRPano Tools and pasted in what i needed from the 360 template. Works great.
