I rendered an outdoor test-scene as well: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VHr360l…iew?usp=sharing Regular pano in jpg format Depth map in 32 bit float (exr) Depth map in 16 bit float (exr) Depth map in 8 bit greyscale (png) I can also provide you with stl-files if you like, but how do you know where the camera is located? Should I place the scene origo (0,0,0) at the camera location? But what about rotation of the camera? Would be great to know a bit more about how to work with the stl-files. I...
Regarding 24bit/32bit depth resolution rerendered images. Made a test render from 3ds max, but I think exr files can be generated from all major renderers. In the zip-file you will find: Regular pano in jpg format Depth map in 32 bit float (exr and tiff) Depth map in 16 bit float (exr) Depth map in 8 bit greyscale (png) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R46FOHj0rGAIPXZg4E4zVdVcgivQxt5x/view?usp=sharing If the 16 bit float image has enough depth to avoid the "ripples" that would probabl...
Yes, there will be an additional cost, the basis transcoder is about 200 kb! But you will be able to fit 6-8 times more textures in VRAM with about the same download size. I leave this link here if anyone else is interested in to know more about the format: https://opensource.googleblog.com/2019/0…er-to-open.html Yes, it's probably best to start with some examples. I will provide you with some.
I'm interested in rendering depthmaps from Blender, 3ds max or other rendering software. We have mostly rendered content. I saw this example (which is rendered): https://krpano.com/releases/1.20/viewer/…hmap-images.xml (example 6) The accuracy of the 8-bit color/grayscale depthmap seems to be problematic in this case, the "ripples" that you describe becomes obvious. Do you have plans on supporting 24bit/32bit depth resolution images also for pre-rendered depthmaps? I understand that all systems ...
I have some geojson(lines and polygons) files that I want to add as overlays to my map. I looked at the documentation for the map plugins but it does not seem to support this. Does anyone have a hack for this or know if its possible? Or maybe someone have a custom map plugin using leaflet or similar? Final question, I have the license for the maps plugins, should it include the source code? If so I might be able to hack it to support a geojson layer. Best Regards, Kristian
https://mail.mozilla.org/pipermail/web-v…ril/001054.html Interesting. This might mean that we have experimental Krpano support in the Gear VR :)
Hi! We have been experimenting with making stereoscopic panorama tours. You can see some results here: http://5514.se/panorama/ Most of them are rendered using VRAY but my colleague also made a stereoscopic tour with photos. (Foto WSP – Cardboard) I would be happy to see some of your results as well :) Cheers! Kristian
Thanks! Interesting times :)
Samsung browser for Gear VR launched today, very interesting. Have anyone tried it yet with Krpano? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yByhn2kqf8o http://uploadvr.com/samsung-vr-internet-app/ Best Regards, Kristian
I have a 2048x2048 Top/Bottom 360 video rendered in 3ds max. I tried it in VRplayer and it works great. What formats and sizes should we convert the video to to cover all/most platforms? I want to integrate that video into a tour with two other static scenes. How do I setup krpano to choose resolution/format based on device? Also how do I setup autoplay of the video? Is it possible in the end of the video translate to another scene? Examples are greatly appriciated! Cheers Kristian
Awesome, it works really good. Just tried with google cardboard and it's night and day when it comes to tracking response compared to the old version. Great job! How would be a good way to enable zoom in and out? I tried orbulus and they have zoom while tilting head left or right, i think that works quite well. Have your tried other methods? Best Regards, Kristian
Sounds great, thanks! Best Regards, Kristian
Hi! I have an altitude value for each panorama. If you check the file properties of the panoramas in the gps information there is an altitude field. I'm not sure that Krpano converts this information to xml when using the droplets? We are using code to autoplace hotpots and it would be good to be able to place them at the correct atv as well. Regards, Kristian
I'm using krpano 1.17 pr2. There seem to be lacking a multiframe droplet, am I missing something?
Hi! I'm working with different 3D software and are interested in doing some tests using 3d generated panoramas and add it to a custom streetview. Could be for architectual walktroughs or similar. I am going to generate panoramas and add geotags with north direction from the 3D software. I'm looking for something similar like this: http://www.diy-streetview.com/krpano-pla…tabase-leaflet/ Since you are discussing this, are anyone of you planning to release a plugin for this? Autoadd hotspots based...
