Oculus GO & KRpano

Quoted Curiously, Pano2VR tours don't seem to be affected by the bug. I was also wondering why other software wasn't affected, but then I have checked the reason: In WebGL rendering the 'canvas' (that's where all will be rendered into) needs to be set to a certain pixel-size. In code that's just: Source code 1 2 canvas.width = targetwidth; canvas.height = targetheight; But then - the system is not always able to render in that size, e.g. older systems are sometimes limited to 2048x2048 and also...

Oculus GO & KRpano

Hi, just as note - the latest Oculus Browser update from yesterday has broken the VR rendering that browser. It's a browser bug and reported here: https://developer.oculus.com/bugs/bug/385828575401156/ As manual workaround for the moment add this line in the webvr.xml anywhere: Source code 1 <events webvr_onentervr="set(display.framebufferscale,0.9); delayedcall(0.1, tween(display.framebufferscale,1.0); );" /> The next krpano release will have an internal workaround for that bug. Best regards, K...

EMERGENCY ! Krpano VR not working anymore on Safari

Hi, since iOS 12.2 the gyro usage is disabled by default and would need to enabled manually in the Safari setting. Please see here for more: accelerometer/gyroscope sensor access disabled -> will Cardboard VR still work on iOS 12.2? With the next krpano release and iOS 13 this problem will be solved. iOS 13 provides a new permission API for the gyro-usage and the next krpano release is using that. Best regards, Klaus

Change logo size in VR mode

About your code - that would be the correct syntax: Source code 1 2 webvr_onentervr="set(layer[skin_logo].scale,0.1);" webvr_onexitvr="set(layer[skin_logo].scale,1.0);" But normally layers are getting hidden when in VR mode. Your's is only keeping showing-up because of the vr="true" setting you have added. But note - in 'real' WebVR (not the Cardboard fallback) all layers are always hidden when being in VR mode. That's because there only WebGL content is possible and layers are HTML, not WebGL. ...

Change logo size in VR mode

Hi, how is your logo defined? But for setting other settings in VR you could use the onentervr/onexitvr events: https://krpano.com/plugins/webvr/#onentervr e.g. Source code 1 2 3 4 <events name="mylogosize" keep="true" webvr_onentervr="set(hotspot[mylogo].scale,0.1);" webvr_onexitvr="set(hotspot[mylogo].scale,1.0);" /> Best regards, Klaus

krpano 1.19-pr15 / pr16

Quoted from "sr_raumgleiter" When can we expect that? Is it days, weeks, months? Not long anymore, the version itself is basically finished now. Now only a few examples/show-case-demos and the release notes are missing - and I hope to be able to finish that within the next weeks. Best regards, Klaus

Low quality on mobile device

Hi, your link seems fine to me, also on mobile devices... In your screenshot the images look like they have got a heavy re-compression... So maybe your mobile-internet-provider is recompressing the image during transfer... Try your example using the same mobile device but with Wifi to check if that might be the case. Best regards, Klaus

maxpixelzoom issue with Win10 display scale

Hi, it's intentionally that the pixelratio is not included in the maxpixelzoom calculation. Otherwise it wouldn't be possible to do any zooming when the pano-image itself is not that highres and using a hidpi-screen. That can happen very often especially on mobile devices. Originally the pixelratio was even included, but there were several reports about that 'zooming-problem', so it was removed later. Btw - the 'window.devicePixelRatio' is already available in krpano as 'device.pixelratio'. You ...

fullscreen not available on mobile in iframes

Hi, Quoted How can Apple be this bad... I have no words to express my feelings of frustration towards things like this... it's completely nonsensical... Is there official Apple documentation that describes this lack of support? I don't know, but generally there is almost zero and only very outdated official documentation about Safari from Apple available... Quoted Is everything that runs inside iOS affected? or is it per-browser? (e.g. does Chrome for iOS support it?) Yes, it affects all iOS bro...

Visibility over polygonal hotspot

Hi, at the moment renderer="css3d" need to be used (because polygonal-hotpots are rendered with SVG and that's above the WebGL layer, and CSS3D is above the SVG layer). But with the next release normal sorting by zorder will work, because then polygonal hotspots are also rendered by WebGL. Best regards, Klaus

Context menu - Switch caption on click

Hi, just set other values, e.g. Source code 1 set(contextmenu.item[youritem].caption, 'the new text for that item'); That can be done anytime, or if you want to update the contextmenu directly before opening use the oncontextmenu event: https://krpano.com/docu/xml/#events.oncontextmenu Best regards, Klaus

set the hotspot's belong in scene by javascript

Hi, a scene is like an 'inlined/embedded' pano xml string. The content of a <scene> element only gets parsed in objects and loaded when the actual scene will be loaded. To 'add' something to a scene before it gets loaded would be possible by adding an string (e.g. like '<hotspot ... />') to the scene[NAME].content variable before calling loadscene() or using an action that will be called after loading the scene that addes the elements by action code.
