I have some trouble in file encryption with 1.08 beta 9 2009-12-30 build

I use kprotect gui tool encrypted a external XML file and a Jpeg file at the difference time

The first: After I encrypted a external XML file, I open the 'protected' Krpano swf ,it can't show anything only a black window.

The second: I test encrypted a external Jpeg file,through the 'protected' Krpano swf I got a message " ERROR: decoding failed - panodata/pano1/preview.jpg"

I didn't know why happen these things

are you using a 'protected' swf build with the beta 9 kprotect tool?

Klaus

Hi,

Klaus

kencrypt

Hi Klaus!

This new kencrypt tool rocks, I really like it *thumbsup*

I am running into 2 issues though -- none of them being a big deal, but a bit annoying (Tools 2009-12-30 release, reproduced on both OS-X Snow Leo 64 bits and Debian Lenny 32 bits)

First, the overwrite option 'ow' is not recognized:

Quellcode

1
2
3
4
$ ~/bin/krpanotools-1.0.8-beta9/kencrypt -ow $PWD/pano.xml
option: [ow]
kencrypt
ERROR: invalid or bad argument: -ow

Second, it seems to work only if you specify full path for the files:

Quellcode

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
# The following does not work
$ ~/bin/krpanotools-1.0.8-beta9/kencrypt pano.xml
kencrypt
ERROR: no input files
# While this one works
$ ~/bin/krpanotools-1.0.8-beta9/kencrypt $PWD/pano.xml
kencrypt
encrypt: [pano.xml] -> [pano.xmle]

... and cherry on the cake, it would be nice to be able to use it as a filter/pipe -- I mean being able to do something like e.g.:

Quellcode

1
cat pano.xml | kencrypt - >pano.xmle

This example as such is useless, but I am thinking of using kencrypt to encode xml generated dynamically (e.g. in php) and a pipe is much more easy and efficient than playing with temporary files...

Hi,
First, the overwrite option 'ow' is not recognized:
right, I just forgot to implement it
check out the new version (2010-01-05), now it works,

it would be nice to be able to use it as a filter/pipe
would be possible of course, I will add such in one of the next versions,

best regards,
Klaus

Hi,

It's a Adobe image format, like PSD, but for (very) large images
VideoStitch, a video stitching engine / blog sur les visites virtuelles ( french ).

Hi,

right, it's the "Photoshop Large Document Format",
it supports images up to 300.000x300.000,

btw. normal PSD images are also supported,

best regards,
Klaus

SOLVED

Win32 but it is strange.
It happened only on my LenovoT61p notebook with XPSP3.

I downloaded on my old HP and extracted correctly.

Hmm,strange, but it works.

Hi,

I'm curious. The krpano.swf in the krpano tools beta 9 package = 106.469 bytes
while the krpano.swf in the krpano beta 8 package = 100.834 bytes

Is this just compression or did you add some new stuff/fixed bugs? Which one is the best to use?
