distorted cropped hotspot

Distorted cropped hotspots don't seem to work. I was really hoping they would as I'm trying to build hotspots dynamically with different icons on them.

I've tried lots of variations of making the parent distorted and aligning to different edges etc and all with very strange results.

Is there a way of making a distorted hotspot with a cropped image?

sorry, the cropping and parent/child system doesn't work for distorted hotspots yet,

I know I'm reviving a fairly old thread, but are there any plans to enable the parent/child system for distorted hotspots? I've run into a situation where I can get it to work without distorting the parent hotspot, but it would look better if I were able to turn on distorting.

yes, there are still plans for that, I have not forgotten it,
but that's a very complex topic so I can't say when it will be ready,
