Image "overlay" that still allows moving the pano?

I'm working on a project that requires me to overlay an image over a panorama picture, but when you click and drag where the image is, the pano should still move. Also, when you click and drag anywhere (even outside of the overlay image) the overlay image should fade out quickly.

What are the possibilities for making this work?

Assuming that you are using the image as a plugin, take a look at the "enable" and "capture" attributes.

I'm a bit of a n00b... ;) So how would I use the image as a plugin? It's a semi-transparent png file by the way (if that makes any difference).

Here is basic info on plugins.

http://krpano.com/docu/xml/#plugin

The documentation is a great place to start. Also look at the examples in the viewer download package.

Thanks!
I've used this, almost exactly what I needed:
<plugin name="explanation" url="/media/pano/explanation.png" enabled="true" capture="false" align="center" ondown="set(plugin[explanation].visible,false);" />
