Adding cube6 in one file support.

Hi Klaus!

Is it possible to add into ktransform cube6 mode, but to convert in one file with 6 faces (3x2) instead of 6 separate files. It's very useful to have one file instead of 6 cube faces. I try to made such file with pano2vr but faces in it, knot in the rigth order. Nadir face rotated to 90 degrees.

Hi Recky,

ktransform can output a single cubestrip file using the hcube or vcube mode:
syntax:
ktransform mode inputfile outputfile [rx ry rz [fov]] [options]

mode ... cube6, hcube, vcube, rotate, view
cube6 = transform to cube panorama images (6 images)
hcube = transform to horizontal cube panorama imagestrip
vcube = transform to vertical cube panorama imagestrip

rotate = rotates a sphere panorama image
view = creates a 2d view from a sphere image

.....
Also, with Krpano viewer you can displays "exoctics" cubestrip files using the <image type="CUBESTRIP"> :
......
attributes for left/front/right/back/up/down:
  • strip
    Order of the image in the strip (1-6)
    Default values:
    left="1", front="2", right="3", back="4", up="5", down="6"
  • rotate
    rotate the image - rotation in degrees, default="0"
  • flip
    flip/mirror the image over the X and/or Y axis
    allowed values: "X" or "Y" or "XY" or "none", default="none"
NOTE: tiled or multiresolution cubestrips are not supported

example codes:
<image type="CUBESTRIP">
<cubestrip url="cubestrip.jpg" />
</image>

<image type="CUBESTRIP">
<cubestrip url="cubestrip.jpg" />
<left strip="2" rotate="-90" />
<front strip="1" />
<right strip="3" rotate="+90" />
<back strip="4" />
<up strip="6" rotate="+180" />
<down strip="5" rotate="-180" />
</image>

The using of hcube and vcube is impossible because size of the strip file is 2200* 6= 13200 pixels. Flash don't accept such a file.

I also tried to rotate nadir face, but after krpano load it there is some intersections at nadir and side faces, it doesn't put together faces right. And after all that i try, i decide to ask Klaus to add such mode in ktransform. It's the simplest way to solve this problem.
