We have try to mix the Google Earth Browser plugin with Virtual tours and panorama photos.
A first beta version is working now.
Please write Your suggestion about speed, or animation...
(please don't use double click at marker (red sphere) on map.. still not disabled. just one click!)

i really like the interface. i question forcing users to install google earth to see anything. the presentation is worth it but some people may not be willing to do so.

... yes, you have to install the Google Earth plugin, (if not installed yet ;-) ) .. but we hope the curiosity will win *smile*
and of course in the final version the user can select between Google Earth interface and ordinary Google map layer *unsure*
We will try to show to users why use Google Earth plugin. (more realistic, 3D building ... )

Thanks.

Is there a way to return to the Google Earth browser object once you have entered a 360 pano without pressing the back button in the browser? I am a big fan of the Google Earth plugin. It is much more likely to be adopted as a plugin for browsers.

The Burj Dubai is amazing. Have you attempted any aerial 360 panos of the hotels on the water? I would love to photograph an aerial tour of the newer Singapore hotel with the elevated deck and cantilever.

Like the integration of facebook. I am getting many requests for social media integration. At least the facebook API remains consistent compared to the Twitter API with depracated functions.

Thanks. You can change the view at the right top corner's buttons. Switch PANO or EARTH. Now you can browse without earth plugin between panoramas, and we made a little demonstration video for helping usage. Plain Google map function comes later...

Very nice pics, site, and simple interface,..............if you don't mind, what did you use to create the hit counter plugin?

Thank You So Much !

The hitcounter works like "normal" counter.

Increase the number of "visitor number" field in Sql database through PHP when new visitor see the pano.
After Read this information and send to "pano XML" with Javascript.

We use same method to send any information from database to XML. (eg. date, text info, head settings .....)

Thanks

Very nice!! *g*

but, one question...

how do you synchronize the viewing angle of the original picture with the viewing angle of the earth? How to calculate the "heading" of each photo?

Thanks !

The placemark, photo overlay and camera position are fully customizable in earth KML.
Only you have to know the north position of your panorama photo, and the initial hlookat value from your pano XML.
With this two information you can set the correct position of placemark on earth, and you can synchronize "fly in" to panorama photo.

How about the bubbles? do you have your own layer in google earth? Or is this customizeable?

Great example :)

What I miss however is, when you are in the krpano layer, you have to go back to earth by clicking on the button. I would rather see a zoom out function (since you can get in the sphere by zooming in, it's weird that you cant get out of the sphere by zooming out).

If krpano's view.fov becomes bigger then lets say 110degrees, you'll zoom out of the orb of google earth. Should be easily possible by assigning a onviewchange event, that calls a javascript function when view.fov > 110 degrees. This function can be the same as you already have (by clicking on the button).
