why not offer this as a stand alone application? if you want 30 a year make the application expire. i don't really have any interest in uploading dozens of 150mb tiff images and waiting for them to upload. i do not see anything here that autopano tour cannot do already and that app we can install on our own PC and use it locally. all these web based tour creation ideas just do not cut the cake for most advanced tour creators. if this was a stand alone app i would concider testing it.

Why web?

Web platform gives you several features: 1) independece from user operational system and user doesn't need to install soft on computer 2) if you need to make only several tours you may purchase per each panorama without buying whole programm - it's cheaper ;-)

In web you have big traffic, but in Europe, I think, there are no problems with unlimited and fast Internet.

yes but i use 16 bit tiffs as source images. they are from 130mb - 150mb each. if i wanted to make a 10 scene tour i would have to upload over 1 gb of images. Even with a super fast connection it will take time. My current project has over 200 points. 200 equirec images x 150 mb each is around 30 gb. So this solution is great for small tours but anyone with large ambitions it is not an option.

In the case of heavy panorams you may:
1) reduce the size of the panos
2) load lite panos, make tour in Tourmaker and export it
3) make tiles of heavy panos in krpanotools on your computer and put them in the tour folder "tiles" instead of lite pano tiles .

Of course, you should use the same names for heavy and lite panos and control number of levels. In such way you may also change hotspot icons from typical to custom.

In current version of Tourmaker only *.jpg format is supported.

We are planned standalone version, which will work in user's browser. But I can't say more exactly, when this version will be available. Now we want to see feedback from online version and it's functionality.
