Embedding a font...

... which is not a standard font, so that I can use it with "showtext" parameters and in "textfield" plugins.
How, if possible?

Also, maybe this is not strictly related to krpano but how can I embed a font in an html webpage and add effects?
I've seen this done, but don't remember how.

I think this only works when you have your text embedded as an image file.
