How to change the background color?

How to change the background color to dark(like the lightbox effect), when i use the Simpleviewer to popup the gallery?

you make a 5px by 5px black square and the set it as a plugin to the topleft corner. set height and width to 100% set its zorder higher than the rest but lower than the gallery make it invisible with alpha of 0. when you open the gallery set it visible and then have the alpha setting tween in to make it visible.
