special characters iphone/ipad

hi,

i have problems with the ASCII .. in my textfield for i devices..

i like to use ( and ) and ; etc... but all codes like & # 4 0 ; (without spaces ) don't work..

until now only & # 1 8 4 ; (without spaces ) works for ,

*confused*

Need some help here..

I use this list: http://www.asciitable.com/
or word

Is there an other / better list that will work? or so?

Still have problems here..

people talk about utf 8 and notepad ++
Well i'm on mac and dreamweaver and the xml is utf 8
but i can't get it how to use (),;" etc etc in the textfield on idevices..

anybody??

Hello Tuur,

Have you tested
- direct ASCII hexadecimal notation : %28 in place of & # 40; , %29 in place of & # 41;
or
- Unicode notation \u0028 , \u0029

...

edit 2: i got some working now just with " etcetc don't know why it works now..
