Textfield with buttons

I have tried for such a long time to make this work and I cannot do that or find a clear example to follow.

I have got buttons to work but textfield I am afraid not. Perhaps a more basic example would help me.

This is all so clever but unfortunately not clear, at least to me anyway!!

Confused where global.xml fits in. All the example files have krpano.xml file

Do I need both or just one?

Sorry for such a basic question but I have spent many hours just trying to recreate your example on my own site!!!

There's a folder of examples that came with krpano you can use to understand what's going on.
Try looking at each ones XML file and the documentation up top on this site. You'll save many hours of frustration by understanding the examples rather than just copy paste.

Hi Sacha

Really appreciate your reply but I can assure I have been trying hard to do exactly that!!
Unfortunately a textfield plugin example would be really useful in the download files.
Also none of the download example files include global.xml so I am struggling understand this one.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

That last but should be a hint... What makes you think that you need a "global.xml" file, if none of the examples use one?

krpano only uses the xml file(s) you point it to, whether it is called "krpano.xml", "global.xml" or "bobsyouruncle.xml". Normally krpano uses only one xml file (the file you reference in your embed code), but you can use the <include> node to import other xml files into that, or use loadpano to jump to another xml file.

Hi

I have been successful now with my first attempt
http://www.zzzone.co.uk/360vr/examples/umsu/

It is just my solution is nothing like the xml files in your example on-line
http://krpano.com/examples/textfield/textfield.xml

I think I have also been confused with the forum post
Source code of an example:

and the files there
textfield.xml
global.xml
externdata.css

You mention one xml file but this one has two. I tried to recreate this example on line but it didn't work.

Sorry if I am a bit of a beginner. But after getting something working I then have a look and understand how it all works.

The in-line no space xml code of the example files make it difficult to get your head round!!!

Your example is exactly like the online example, just forget all the other stuff that does not relate to textfield.

I think perhaps you need to see the documentation.
It can be found here.
http://krpano.com/plugins/textfield/?version=10812#top

This shows the relation of the plugin to the data tags, what parameters can be used, how the textfield can gets it's data, and how you can style it in different ways.

I must be getting old!! *unsure*

Just discovered viewing an xml file in FF is what I need and all is becoming crystal clear! *g*

Viewing the same in Safari is impossible. Now I understand. It has been like grappling around with a blindfold.

I presume there is some of viewing the xml properly in Safari?
