KRPano gives error while i am using .bmp file in my XML-- Very Very Urgent

Hi,

I am working with KRPano for Android devices and uses Flash Player.
And found that it does not render the .bmp files is this the bug of KRPano or issue of Flash Player.

I have used one .bmp file in my xml and got the following error while try to play the pano.

Zitat

WARNING: not local trusted - ExternalInterface disabled!
ERROR: decoding failed - logo.bmp

Please help me out for this...as it is very very urgent

More to my testing....
If i will create .bmp from Photoshop it will give me the same error.....but if i will create .bmp from MS Paint it will just work fine without any error.
Is there any difference in that two .bmp from two different applications?

is it 16bit bmp? I think 24bit and higher will give errors.

But why use bmp? Use png or jpg. Smaller filesize.

Hi All,

Actually it fetches data from server so i can't make it .jpg or .png. They have only .bmp file on server.

If still you have some good reason why this is happened please let me know.... :)

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

bmp is not a typical internet image format (mainly because it lacks efficient compression and so results in very big filesizes),
the typical image formats today are JPEG, PNG and partially still GIF,

the Flashplayer itself also supports just these formats (JPEG, PNG and GIF),
see here:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatfor…lay/Loader.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Flash#Format

best regards,
Klaus

you could fix it perhaps, by linking to for example logo.php

In that php script you convert the logo.bmp to logo.jpg/logo,png But im not sure if the image libraries handle bmp. Best way is just asking them to change the image. What Klaus said. BMP is never used on the web. Imo bmp is extinct.
