Limit vertical zoom on iPad

Hello everyone

the image I have for pano isn't 2:1, so it has white spaces on top and bottom, but I don't want the user to be able to see them, so they can only move horizontally in the panorama. I was a able to limit this but it only works with the swf, but not on the html.

I added this line on the xml and works perfectly on the swf:

view hlookat="0" vlookat="0" fovtype="MFOV" fov="70" maxpixelzoom="1.0" fovmax="60" vlookatmin="-20" vlookatmax="+20" limitview="range" />

any ideas on how to do this??

Hi,

use the 1.0.8.14 beta version from here:
http://krpano.com/download/beta/

there vertical limitation also works for iPad,

best regards,
Klaus

Thanks Klaus! It works fine now, but only on the safari ipad user agent, not on the device... at least not locally

still nothing... could the gyro plugin be the problem?

Hi,

yes, that can be a problem,
the view limiting works only at the vertical axis and assumes the view is rotated horizontally,
but the gyro plugin rotates the view around all axis,

try setting the camroll setting of the gyro plugin to false, then it could work...

best regards,
Klaus

*cry* still nothing... maybe my xcode is wrong? i'm loading it with this:

[webView loadRequest:[NSURLRequest requestWithURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"Panorama" ofType:@"html"]isDirectory:NO]]];

I posted it online on dropbox, loaded it on ipad, removed the vertical limitations, and it throws an error loading gyro.js
Everything is in the same folder

Hi,

for using the gyro plugin you need to use the 1.0.8.14 version (not the 1.0.8.12 version),

best regards,
Klaus

replace the krpanoiphone.js, but it seems you have done that already
