Thanks, but the question is it depends on the objective, camera or software?
I would like to know how to make that resolution panoramas.
thanks

I think you need to look at panoramic stitching software. Go check out http://www.kolor.com/ and http://www.ptgui.com/

I'm using PTGui, I have a Canon 550D and 8 mm.
But I can not understand how this zoom lens that does not have to do a bigger picture as I usually do is 12,000 x 6,000 or so.
I am interested to know if you can do till 14,000 or 16,000.
Sorry for my English.

thanks

All you need to do is use a longer lens. Put a 20mm lens on there and you will get a much higher resolution panorama.

I understand that this response is not possible to make panoramas with more than 12,000 with an 8mm.
Thank you very much for your attention.

Your 550D has a resolution of 5184 x 3456
That means that your max 360x180 resolution is around 11000x5500.

You can easy find out what your max resolution is if you know the FOV.

Lets look at a10mm fisheye like the Tokina 10-17mm at 10mm.
At http://www.frankvanderpol.nl/fov_pan_calc.htm
You can see that a 10 mm fisheye on a Canon APS (1.5) gives you 87 degrees horisontal FOV in Portrait.

Your max resolution is now 360/87 = 4.13 x 3456 pixels = 14.300 pixels
