iceman i went to go verify this today and it still did not work right. so i removed the swfaddress from the ecard plugin code and tested and it worked perfect i got a bitly link. so i added the swfaddress plugin back in to the ecard code and to my amazement that is now working also. so right now it seems that removing swfaddress code from plugin, testing that then putting it back made it work. as of now things seem to be working. thank you and sorry for the trouble.

you have to use the bitly plugin from jaydee in association with the ecard from iceman to get bitly links. you have to sign up for a bitly pro account then wait to be accepted.

bitly,swfadress and ecard

Hi vn2011. Thank you for this little message. I have api code of bitly. ECard, swfaddress, and bitly work very well. I have my photo in my mail but I haven’t the link which sends the URL as on the example on the customer page. On the other hand I have well the link in my mail sent by swfadress. Thanks for this and good luck for your work is great .

Feature request.

I am considering purchasing this great plugin and plan to use the share to social media features. However another feature I require is the ability for the user to be able to download their snapshot jpg image to their computer by way of a download link or icon.
Is this possible to do if I purchase the customizable package or is this a feature that I should request to be included?

I have a small but annoying problem with bitly. I get the url but it's not correct. It's missing ":" from the beginning after http. Anyone else have such a problem? Otherwise everything works great :) Try the ecard yourselves here:

Edit: Ok, more weird. It depends what browser i use to read my email. With chrome it is missing ":". With firefox link has http: twice. With explorer i have http: twice but other one is http% and with safari it's same as IE. What is going on? *confused*

I send it to my hotmail. For my work email using outlook i can't open the link but it's showing it correct when i put mouse over the link. Really weird...

Edit2: Found it. Had to use #shareurl# in the email to get the right one.

Nice plugin but...

I have no control on this plugin. I'd like to make an action that will be executed after sending or closing the form. But I can't. And it is very frustrating.

e-card for a very beginner

Hi,
Well I have been playing with the krpano viewer, and I've done some progress.
However is really difficult for me because I don't have knowledge on scripting languages.
Now I bougth e-card plugin and it is a challenge for me. I wonder if any of you could help me to make my fist
e-card panorama step by step.
I am reading all the info available but it still being hard to understand for me.
... What should I put in the php files ecard.php and ecard_manageemail.php?????? *confused*

I hope you could help me or will crash! *blink*

1.) copy all files and folders from the php5 folder to your webspace (php4 for php 4 webservers)
2.) set the write permissions for the ecards folder to 777 or 666 (chmod)
3.) test it
4.) if successful you can configure the ecard.php, ecard_manageemail.php and the templates

On errors:
- check all permissions
- test it with the smtp method >> ecard.php

open the configuration.xml and edit the tags between <language></language>
example: <btn_sendform>Send e-card</btn_sendform>

note: the _languages folder includes any language samples.

Can't change the Jpeg quality

If I change the option

	Quellcode
1	jpgcompress="90"

to anything it makes no difference - the jpegs that are captured still look the same... Have a play here: http://www.sphericalimages.com/thorpe-park/swarm-360/

The problem is that the images captured are a very poor compression.

Any idea how I can adjust this?

Do you have set the compress param in the ecard.php ?
$jpgcompress = 75;

This param is for the email image, the other param is for the screen capturing.

Thanks Iceman but trying a compression of 10 or 90 in the ecard.php appears to have no effect either? What is meant to give the best quality? 90/100? Or does the scale work the other way round (if it works at all!)

Hi,
i have tested the jpgcompression - it's work fine (see attachment).
Test: set it to 15 and send ecard - set it to 75 and send ecard - check both image files.

The best quality is 100, but the image files are to big for small internet connections.
I'm using 80-85 for my own panos.
