HTML5 without need of Flash plug-in

Hi *,
I am absolutely new to krpano viewer. Is there any possibility or plans to introduce version of viewer for desktop browsers (FF8, Chrome, etc.), which will NOT require install Flash plug-in.
(We does not like any 3rd party plugins, which will expose security risks)
As far as new browsers supports CSS3 3D Transforms I hope that there is way how to omit use of Adobe Flash plug-in
TIA
-Laco.

Is there any demo which will use only HTML5 ?
When I go to http://krpano.com/tours/weingut/html5only.html with latest FF or Safari or Chrome I still receive "...browser with support for CSS 3D tranforms is necessary to view this page!..."
I would like test only HTML5 situation ... as far as I understand you there is support for both situations (with or without Flash)
So I want follow HTML5 (without need of Flash)
TIA
-Laco.

Hi!
Take a look here http://bankigoroda.com/media/interface_f…mo/example.html
This works in all platforms.
Make tour such this - is just drag and drop your panos to a droplet ;-)
With one XML code (almost... for iPhone need deffrent xml, but it's included)

I think it's the best solution (krpano for flash and HTML5).
Thinking about people who using old browsers with flash only (even without flash some times *g* ....)

Google use deffrent code for descktop and for iPad (html5)
try goto images page

Thanks, but this displays only "ERROR: Adobe Flash Player 9/10 needed" when I browse using FF8.0.1 or Chrome under WindowsXP (with disabled build-in Flash in Chrome)

So it seems to me, that pure HTML5 solution does not work *question*

Hi,
So it seems to me, that pure HTML5 solution does not work
there try is no HTML5-only solution that works everywhere possible yet,

next krpano version 1.0.9 will support also WebGL - then the 'HTML5' panos will work also in Firefox and Chrome (there with WebGL), but in Safari and iPhone/iPad still the CSS 3D transform will be used because there, there is no WebGL yet available,
and in the Internet Explorer there is nothing regarding 3D with HTML5 yet (this might change with IE10),

best regards,
Klaus

Great news! So I will wait (do you have any planed release time?)
So then also examples like on http://krpano.com/tours/weingut/html5only.html will work in FF and Chrome (without need of Flash) ?

Will there be a beta version of webgl support soon?
Currently I'm building a website with krpano in the background, works really fine in Safari but I'll also love it to see it working in Firefox!

Thanks!

How many years left to Flash disappear?
You understand what you asking about? *confused*
Nobody know

Andrey *thumbup*

PS - if somebody ever will tell you "you did this tour on flash, but flash is die i want you help me" then you can remake it in HTML5 *thumbsup*

Hi Andrey,

I think i understand what i'm asking about! ;-) But i'm not sure to understand what exactly is gonna be different in practice.
I'm doing tour for a living. Two clients asked me about this eventuality, i must give an answer, preferably a right answer. Also if i can prevent this by writing an additional code or find others plugins dedicated to html5 from now on, that would be great!

I could rebuild the tours concerned in the future, but spend time to update all the tours done before will cost me a lot.

I'm not in panic, just looking for infos.

Thanks for your time Andrey. *thumbup*
