How to synchronized differents parts of a same a panorama?

Hello,

Investigating around Kinect
working with 3 videoprojectors, the final size of the image is 6,0x2,0 meters (ratio 3:1).

So, I play with FoV parameters :
Here my results with screen-shots and panoramas (click ), (example panorama is 1200x400 pixels) :

1 View, VFOV

1 View, HFOV

Following my idea to manage projection in a cube with Left, Front and Right views,
I have synchronised 3 views, VFOV with some limits:
- Due to a bug *g* , only the Front view is "interactive"
- During Left, right and Zoom movements the 3 views are synchronized but I don't found the solution to synchronized them during Top, Bottom movements... *sad* (so, I have fixed vlookmax and vlookmin values)

So, comments, ideas or mathematical path (if existing?) are welcome ;-)
or shoud have to change to another krpano's projection?
or is-it a stupid idea? *confused*

Hi,

sorry, I don't understand exactly what you want to do...?

do you have several viewers on one html page and want to sync them?

maybe have a look at the "js-sync" examples:
http://krpano.com/examples/10814/example…syncscreen.html

they show how to sync two krpano windows by javascript,

best regards,
Klaus

Thanks for your attention Klaus,
In fact, I use several viewers on one HTML and based on your provide example (js-sync)
I have developed a special plugin to manage/to synchronize the differents viewers.
My goal : imagine a cube, each face shows a part of the same panorama thru differents video-projectors...

Hi,

do you mean something like CAVE ?

(btw - I have seen such in live and in 3D a long time ago - that was really impressive! )

when limiting the fov to 90 degree, then doing such would be easily possible by using the great vectormath plugin from Aldo Hoeben - just rotate the current viewing vector 90 degree to left for the left view and 90 degree to right to the right view,

I have made a quick example here(only the middle view is controllable):
http://krpano.com/examples/js-sync-cubeview/

here the example for downloading:
http://krpano.com/examples/js-sync-cubeview/cubeview.zip

allowing zooming would be theoretically possible too, but then it starts to become more complicated, because then the left and right views would also need to shifted left/right (by using the area settings)...

best regards,
Klaus

Many thanks Klauss,

Yes, something like CAVE.

Compared to your example, with my current plugin Zoom is possible.

Now, based on your example ;-) , I will try to implement vertical synchronization!!!

Hi,
Compared to your example, with my current plugin Zoom is possible.
but this is not perspectively correct, or?
have you tried it in a real cube?

best regards,
Klaus

For sure, not really perspectively correct.

Today my space projection is built with 3 screens (3 x 2 m : Right, Front, Left) but I have not tested cubic configuration because regarding our project we manage only one Kinect device (front view).

So, the synchronized views were realized only for comparison tests with one HFOV view.
