Automatic Toggle Pause Issue with Audio and Video on iPad

Hi Klaus,

It would seem that when using the soundinterface.js and video.js together in a tour, they conflict with each other.

If you start a video, then the audio (bgsnd) is togglepaused or stopped in some way automatically.
If this is a feature you have programmed into the .js files, it would be nice if we could be allowed to toggle pause (or stop) the audio through our own processes unless you simply have no control over this or have a better reason. If it is something screwy about the iPad, please let me know. I have been unable to figure out a method to get around this issue when trying to program buttons that change, or to get the audio back in sync with my own programmed actions. The best workaround I found was simply not do any advanced gfx or programming other than to have a static "always ON" sound button that simply togglepauses the audio.

On the desktop, i can play both audio and video files simultaneously with no problems, and fully control their behavior.

Tony

Hi,

see here the HTML5 / iOS notes in the documenation of these plugins:
http://krpano.com/plugins/soundinterface/#html5
http://krpano.com/plugins/videoplayer/#html5

and also here:
http://developer.apple.com/library/safar…iderations.html

especially that part:

Zitat

No Multiple Simultaneous Audio or Video Streams
Currently, all iOS devices are limited to playback only one single audio or video stream at one time. Playing more than one video - side by side, partly overlapping, or completely overlaid - is not currently supported on iOS devices.
this is a core system limitation of the iOS browser,

best regards,
Klaus
