Hotspot image

Hello community,

I wanna to display an animated hotspot image, and i want it a gif image, can i do it? or i have to design an animated image like the default hotspot that came with the KRPano ?

Hi,

using animated gifs would be only possible in the krpanoJS HTML5 viewer,
but even there I would not recommend doing that - they make the viewer slower,

it's faster and better to use xml-animated images,

e.g. take a png (better than gif because of the 8bit-alpha-channel and more colors),
and put all images in a vertical or horizontal strip,

and in the xml, the "crop" setting can be used to cut-out only one frame, and the
a small xml action that animates that crop setting,

please see the "hotspot" or the "examples\xml-usage\animated-hotspots" folder in the viewer download package,
