Partial Panorama Video

Does the KRpano video player allow input of partial panorama panorama imagery? I would like to use a GoPro hero2 camera to take 11mp photos in continuous shoot mode taking a frame every half second along a corridor moving along slowly in a vehicle. The Gopro Hero2 image has a HFOV of about 167 degrees and about 130 degrees VFOV. I would like to string the images together to make a video and display using KRPao video player. Is this feasible? Anyone out ther trying this - if so can you send a sample link and share your workflow process to create the video? Thank you, Jim.

Hi,

yes, any kind of partial pano video is possible as long as the projection of the image is spherical or cylindrical,

technically there is no difference to a normal partial pano, define the hfov and optionally also the vfov, voffset for the pano,
e.g.

Source code

1
2
3
<image type="SPHERE" hfov="130" vfov="90" voffset="0">
  <sphere url="plugin:video" />
</image>

just as small tip - the hfov, vfov, voffset settings can be changed interactively in the options plugins,

about the Gopro Hero2 images - you will need to remap them to spherical but then they can be used,

best regards,
Klaus
