Undistorted full width cylyndrical?

Undistorted full width cylyndrical?

Is there a way to cause a cylyndrical pano of less than 360 degrees to start out displayed as an undistorted rectangle showing the full width of the image? I can get them to zoom all the way out, but the left and right edges stay stretched to the full vertical dimension of the screen, which distorts the image into a bowtie shape.

Hi,

declare the image as flat image,
e.g. by using the 'MAKE PANO (FLAT) droplet',
