kencrypt AND template files

I need to use kencrypt tool to protect my images. What should I change in the template files so that the resulting XML file automatically has something like
------
<cube url="panos/1.tiles/l2_%s_%v_%h.jpge" /> - with the "e" added at the ednd of ".jpg"

------
rather than default <cube url="panos/1.tiles/l2_%s_%v_%h.jpg" />?
