Handcursor Again... Also On Textfield

1-
Usually the cursor becomes a Hand on buttons and linkable objects.
I don't know why but this is not the case here: I already did VTs with the same configuration and everything worked so far. What's wrong now? Please have a look:

www.marcolanciani.com/projects/acquarior…anctasanctoroom

This happen only in Safari, while it's ok in Firefox and Chrome.
(working on Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.7 and already downloaded the last version of Flash)

2-
Also the "info" button is actually a textfield… same problem: no handcursor
This happen with all three browsers!

Any thought?
Thanks for your support.
Marco

handcursor="true"

Handcursor on the hotspots works fine in Safari/ mac - latest mountain lion - Well made panos btw

Hi Stefan,

thanks for your comment.

handcursor="true" is already there. I thought about it but it doesn't seem to work.
Thanks,
Marco

HAve you added the info on your own? Just checked the vtourskin.xml / virtual tour - there are no hancursor anywhere in the document.
Can you put the code here?
Best regards - Stefan

It's there, on vtourskin.xml... check the line with:

layer name="skin_tf_info...

One reason can be (and it is a diffrence from the rest) that a layer with width/ height needs a image to work.
Another solution is to edit the vtourskin.png and add one icon for the info and adjust the crop like the rest of the icons.
Maybe try to put an transparent (30 px wide) image as background in the layer will solve the problem?

However it works with handcursor on FF in html5.

I do tried and in HTML5 works with all the browsers!
Thanks!

I hope someone can help so to make it work also in Flash... my idea is to use fonts instead of PNG files. They should be lighter and faster to load, shouldn't them?
But this also brings another question:

- Is is possible to embed fonts, non commonly installed in computers, in the VT?

Faster is better:)

I am sure it is possible to get it to work in flash to. Did you try to put an image?
About the fonts, since I am newbie here I am not sure although I have read that the text field is a bit limited when it comes to CSS and maybe fonts to? Check this out - http://krpano.com/plugins/textfield/

Yes I tried with an image and... yes, it works, obviously. *smile*
My bet is to make it work with textfield... let's see if someone has the solution.

Thanks again for your support Stefan!

Hi Marco,

i have the same with the hand cursor in safari.. i think it's a bug.. (?)
i'm on safari 6.0.2
osx 10.8.2
flash 11.4.402.265 (11.4)

you can put/include a font in the textfield plugin.
But if that is still the case since html 5.. i'm not sure
Maybe Klaus or somebody else can tell if that is still possible and if it also works on html5 then.. would be nice.

Hi Tuur,

do you mean using "plugin" instead of "layer"?
Do they behaves differently?

Thanks,
Marco

Hi,

It is the same.

Note - the <layer> or <plugin> elements are internally exactly the same elements, only with different names!

No,
When you open the textfield plugin source in flash you can embed a font.
And then make your own for example myriad pro textfield plugin.
But if that still works and if that is gonna work in html5 i don't know.

Layer and plugin are the same.. Nothing to do with that.

It's there, on vtourskin.xml... check the line with:

layer name="skin_tf_info...
Try to change enabled="true" instead of false in the layer - maybe works...

hmm...not right then...

I use this to display a text to close a scrolling text field.... it work great.
However it is "inside" inside the scrolling textfields layer and that one have one background image... The code ihave added is in bold.

<layer name="textbox" url="virtualtourdata/graphics/textfield.png" keep="true" handcursor="false" visible="false" align="center" x="0" y="0" width="480" height="400">

<layer name="closeit" type="container" handcursor="true" children="true" keep="true" maskchildren="false" enabled="true" edge="bottom" align="bottom" background="false" zorder="3" width="200" height="20" bgalpha="0" x="0" y="6">
<layer name="closeittxt" background="false" onclick="closeHelp();" border="false" handcursor="true" keep="true" alpha="1.0" edge="bottom" children="false" align="bottom" zorder="4" width="100" height="20" url="plugin/textfield.swf" html="Stäng fönster" enabled="true" css="text-align:center; color:#ffff66; font-family:Arial;" x="0" y="0"/>
</layer>

---------some other layers are here----------

Stefan, do you suggest adding a background to the textfield?
