Photo into layer

Hi to all,
is possible click a photo into a layer and show it with a similar effect of hotspot?

I want to make a layer similar at google's maps:

when i click on thumb image, i would to show the phot with this effect:

is possible?

If not, how can i show the photo after click on thumb of layer?

now i can click on thumbs (layer image) and show the image! :

is possibile to show the photo in the centre of windows browser?
Now set it in the centre of parent layer *confused*
