(SOLVED) scrollingtextfield - show on click

Hello!

I am using the nice scrolling textfield by krpano. http://krpano.com/examples/10815/example…gtextfield.html

I have made it hidden by defalt (with Visible="false") and now open it with a click on a button - this works very well flash but in html5 the text (<data name="htmldata">) are not visible.

I have googled and looked thru load "set" and everything i can think of.

Anyone have a clue i am all yours. Any help appreciated!
Best regards - Stefan

html5 textfields don't work when they aren't visible.
set it visible and then set the html attribute again.

Thank you. By this said does it mean that it is possible to show scrollingtextfield for instance on click in both flash and html5?
Where can I read about this?
Best regards - Stefan

Of course just set the textfield visible as I've said and set the HTML again.

Great news! The scroll field shows up like supposed, it is only the HTML content that I can't show again but I am on the right track, I just have to find the way to "set" or load the HTML content again.

Just set the HTML-attribute again for the textfield-plugin, just like Sacha said! This can be done by an action, mouseover, mouseclick etc....

onclick,set(plugin[whatever].html,......

Sometimes the plugin wont get the new html-attribute setting it directly if using HTML5. If this happens, write the full html-attribute first into a variable txtadd(blabla,'data:','your_text',get(or_path_to_variable_containing_the_text));

and then set the plugins html-tag
set(plugin[whatever].html,get(blabla));

Best regards

<action name="displayHelp">
switch(layer[textbox].visible); set(layer[textbox].alpha,0); tween(layer[textbox].alpha, 1);
txtadd(layer[text].html,'[p]',get(data[helptext].content),'[/p]');
</action>
<action name="closeHelp">

You´re welcome *smile* And a great idea setting the layers name and it´s attribute directly inside the txtadd. I used to set this seperately - at least until now *g*
