Problem with MS Surface WIN 8 RT and 1.16

A customer was complaining that a HTML5 pano with "mobile" tiles only shows "blurred" when testing on a surface.
Even when using the complete version with "pano" tiles and swf files it wouldn't show the full resolution.

As I don't have such aa device myself I cannot track this down.

My code was slightly modified, so I want to start with a "standard" pano and see where that leads to.
Can someone confirm that the standard makepano(normal).bat will create a pano that runs on a MS Surface?

Thank you.

Hi,
Can someone confirm that the standard makepano(normal).bat will create a pano that runs on a MS Surface?
yes, of course - I have a Surface RT.

When you show me a link, I can test it.

Best regards,
Klaus

I ran into this issue too. Apparently the <mobile> tiles are being loaded on the Surface instead of the <tablet> ones. Shall I place an example online?

Using firebug lite I could see that device.tablet == true and device.mobile == false

Hi,

I will need to test this but yes - when <mobile> AND <tablet> images are there, then the Surface RT might take the <mobile> images...

A workaround would be using only <mobile> elements - but with different devices settings,
e.g. like here in the third example:
http://krpano.com/docu/html5/#mobilenotes

e.g.

Quellcode

1
2
3
4
5
<image>
  <cube url="pano_%s.jpg" />
  <mobile devices="mobile"> <cube url="mobile_%s.jpg" /> </mobile>
  <mobile devices="tablet"> <cube url="tablet_%s.jpg" /> </mobile>
</image>

Best regards,
Klaus

Didn't know that the device property could be used there. Thanks!
