Photoshop

Hi all,

I was wondering...
- imake a short text animation in aftereffects.
- load into premiere and export as PNG range

Is there a way to make automaticaly a PNG strip so i can use it as an html 5 hotspot?
I now do it by hand but that is a time consuming job.

Is there a way to automate this?
That it put's all png's in an vertical filmstrip-ish png?

Cheers

ok, no filmstrip but single images.
but automated from a photoshop animation.
if you really need a filmstrip you would have to mount them manually.

you could try this: http://draeton.github.com/stitches/

ignore the javascript stuff, you just want the image.

actually this does the trick:

kmaketiles bild_%v.tif bild_strip.jpg 0 -intilesize=418x340 -insize=418x3400 -jpegquality=10

so make this call in the terminal

/Applications/krpanotools-1.16.4-32bit/kmaketiles /Applications/krpanotools-1.16.4-32bit/test/pic_%v.tif bild_strip.jpg 0 -intilesize=126x117 -insize=126x351 -jpegquality=10

other example

/Applications/krpanotools-1.16.4-OR32bit/kmaketiles /Applications/krpanotools-1.16.4-OR32bit/test/Tuur_00005_%v.tif /Applications/krpanotools-1.16.4-OR32bit/test/strip.tif 0 -intilesize=150x27 -insize=150x1326 -tiffcompress=lzw

Can you show us result. I'm also interested. Usually I do design it frame by frame in vector program and export stripe as png.
If some animation effect can be automatized this will help a lot. How about the quality.

Don't understand the commands you shared. What it input and what output.

Well it is sort of very easy ;-)

First make a nice thing in for example aftereffects.
I did those 3d text turning letter by letter.

Export it as tiff sequence in the right size ( very important).

So then you have a folder with a lot of lets use the last example. ( the last two lines in my previous post.

First u see the path to the krpanotools.
Then you see test , which is the folder where all tifs are that u exported from aftereffects. (I just called it test)
Then you see Tuur_00 blabla which is the name of the first tif of the sequence.

Then the second part is again the path to the krpanotools
Then test is the folder where the output should come and strip is the name.

Then there is the size of every frame and aftr that the size of the total strip and a compression setting.

When you fill in all things correctly and run those line in your terminal, you'll find a film strip in your, test, folder. *love*
The strip is still tiff so make it a png.
Et voila *thumbsup* *thumbsup*

It's important to export the animation from aftreeffects already in the right size . Because otherwise u get problems later when u run tha strip as we do now with the hotspots..

Very very nice and quick way of making any animated hotspot you like.

Hope it helps!
Cheers,
Tuur *thumbsup*
