Masking the Radar beam in JS?

Hello,

Curious about this but I realized that the radar mask works only in flash because when viewing in html5, the radar beams ignore my mask. I wonder, for devices such as the ipad, how can this be implemented.

Or am I doing it all wrong? hahaha.. Still learning!

Hi,

there is currently no cross-browser technical equality for the Flashplayer mask property, which allows using any other DisplayObject as mask for the current DisplayObject.

Therefore the mask setting is only supported in Flash.

An alternative that works in Flash and HTML5 is the maskchildren setting:
