Loading Google Map tiles (instead of a flat gigapixel image)

Hi Guys - is there a way of Loading Google Map tiles (instead of a flat gigapixel image).

I dont mean the plugin - I mean using map tiles as part of the main image...

I want to use it as an intro.

Hi,

theoretically that would be possible (with a special interface), but doing that it is not allowed by Google.

You can ask/vote here directly at Google for that feature, but as explained there they don't want to provide that:

do you have an xml example of how we can do this?

Or opensource mapping?

Hi,

yes, Bing provides a a Tile-API, but krpano would still require a special interface to be able to use them.

Btw - why not using the Bing Maps Plugin?
