Drop-down menus on iPad?

I have a new project that uses drop-down menus. They work well on Mac & Win desktops (Explorer excepted).
I would like to adapt the site to also work on iPads etc. I've searched the web but so far nothing satisfactory.
Any thoughts?

Regards

use textfields. I find the dropdown menus to be horribly ugly.

ummalos side menu has some nice code to look at.

Thanks both!

Umalo's side menu looks v promising.
Interesting that a Ukrainian is needed to translate between an American and a Brit! :-)

If you don't want second level menu you can also use combobox plugin from Klaus. On IOS it look very nice and is also configurable.
