gyroscope on android & iphone - return alpha, gamma, beta to determine direction

I am having trouble with the gyroscope on Android and iPhone. i need to be able to check the alpha, beta, gamma and return the direction (or FOV) that I am currently looking at. Then I would like to trigger an action if those values exist within a predefined constraint. Is there a way to use the gyroscope plugin with FOV to return these values? Thanks
