Tooltips - how to!

I sow this example:

... and get idea for local volleyball team panorama ,players around me with tooltip names.

Problem is how to mark each player (no links, no images ... hover only) to display his names on mouse hover?
And how do you now a coordinates where you want to add a hover area?

Is there any simple example for mouse hover and how to find coodrinates to be selected?

PS:
Did I must use transparet images over the players in panorama to show tooltips?No idea ...

Im tryin something like on right picture,but without white border and without white transparent color,just with hotspot name to be displayed?

Border and transparency are solved!

Solved all:
