ibook

Hi,

i'm struggling with krpano in the ibook.

i have it working nice but...

What ever i change in index or html in ibooks author, or in that plist file the pano just shows in preview mode on ipad, in the middle and takes aprox 50% of the screen. Like a pano frame from aprox 450x350 or so..
When i look at Willy Keamena example of the trains ' Westbahn' he goes fullscreen just easy.
...

What is the procedure to get that. Where can i set how it shows up, size wise.

Maybe someone have it running straight from krpano and can help?
I like it to go fullscreen, which is possible when i look to examples out of pano tour pro.

Any help highly appreciated!

oke, nobody there,

so i did some investigation, and get crazy..

here you can download my widget, or what is inside that 'works': (gyro works, i see a pano etc)

just rename to test5.wdgt and put it in your ibook.

but i still get no full screen. or 100% size

this one from Willy Keamena works nice with pano 2 vr:

I tried fiddling around with the index all the way around... also just replaced stuff in the index from willy and krpano js etc..
Maybe there is a problem?

How to get it nicely working with krpano?
Pano tour pro works so it must be easy in krpano ... right?
Somebody has a working example with krpano?? Not seen a single one.

mmm..

thanx, seen them before.. but i don't see any info on my problem...

i'll re-read because nobody did show a working krpano example yet so i don't belief it's gonna work at 'fullscreen'....

Can you provide a working krpano index?
That would make more sence.

hi again

the main point is that the size of default.png is the most important thing....you can omit width and height in the info.plist

puting as an example the pano of kaemena...the size of default.png is 960 x 540 and in his info.plist width is set to 1024 and height to 768...but if you insert the widget in a ibook and test it...the displayed size is 960 x 540....the size of default.png

He Nupsi,

no not yet, but i work on an small showcase.
Willy Keamena has made a very nice one.
Look for 'Westbahn'. (in the ibookstore ipad only i think)
That's pano2vr though. But krpano works also good.
I found out now, with some help, how it works and i think it has massive potential.
It's quite easy to do actually, when you know.
But if have to investigate some more.

Hi Imge,

can you explain the problem with the sound? And what to do?
I have an older tour that i like to test for i book.

EDIT: it doesn't 'eat' mp3..

Is there also a problem with the textfield.swf? It feels like that but i will investigate..

EDIT: the textfield works nice!

convert the sound to m4a...problem is that sound still on when quit the panoview

a work around is external audio in index like this...is yourhtml modified....addedwebkitdragdrop.js (attached), in order to drag the player...

open sound file in iTunes, select it and then advanced/convert to AAc or ctrl click in the song y want to convert and select create aac version

I'm studying the same topic right now... Just noted that U.S. store refuses to show "Westbahn" and says like: "cmon, pal, you're from Ukrainian store, so piss off!" *cry*


I wonder whether you had some results in your struggle with ibooks or not?

mmm.. sounds strange..
Never seen that, but after my initial tests and making a few..etc i didn't use the ibooks .. have plans for it though..

With the Westbahn from Willy K. i had no problems.
