Stop/Start autorotate by clicking on the tour.

Does anyone know whether it's possible to stop auto rotate by clicking within the tour itself, emulating the behaviour of ptviewer?

I have seen how to use
onclick="switch(autorotate.enabled);"
to create a button to do this, but would ideally like it to occur by clicking anywhere in within the tour itself, such that starting to interact with the tour ends autorotate until another view is loaded.

Many thanks :)
