Image above text bug (flash)

I have been trying for hours to get a simple thing like an image above text to work.
It just cuts the first 7-8 characters off

Apparently this has been a bug (flash only) since 2012. HTML5 of course works perfect.

Is this really not possible to fix. I will get more like this in my current project.
I know I can do it as a separate image plugin but it is all extra work which should not be necessary.

Hi Hans,

I had this problem some time ago, try to start with a 'break' ... -[br]
That worked for me.

Hope it helps!

break is not accepted in xml for HTML5. Just gives me an error on iPad and if you chevck the xml on desktop.

Apparently the first 6-7 characteres are hided behind or outside the image. I set image to same as tectfield width but that does not help.
If you set it 10-20 pixels less for example 580 and textfield to 600 you can see the first word as a vertical line to the right.

look here,

i find that the break is only needed when html5 = auto

html5 prefer works ok:

html5 auto without a first break no pic on desktop safari, ipad seems ok

html5 auto with a first break <br />

edit: i think i misread your question... sorry... so you have to do a lot of breaks to get the text under the picture i suppose

Hi,

Is this really not possible to fix.
The rendering of the html is fully done by the Flashplayer itself. Changing or fixing here anything is not possible. Only Adobe could do that, but it seems they have stopped any development here already several years ago.

krpano (simplified said) handles only the passing/setting of the text and the determination of the resulting sizes.

The Flash source code of the krpano textfield plugin is also available as open source - so it's possible look behind the scenes here (as prove that fixing that the Flashplayer html rendering is not possible):
http://krpano.com/plugins/textfield/source/textfield.as

The basic problem is that the Flashplayer can't handle the textflow around the images well or correctly, so it can be necessary to 'help' the Flashplayer by adding several [br] linebreaks for positioning the texts...

Can you show your example?
Maybe it's possible to get it working with a few tricks/hacks...

The [br] tag should work in HTML5, but <br> will not work because the xml syntax would not accept not-closed tags (unless the <data> element will have CDATA tags to escape the content), correct would be <br/> here.

The missing image is one of the strange Flashplayer html rendering bugs, try to remove ALL whitespaces before the first image. Or try using the new 1.17.1 version - there the textfield plugin trims the leading whitespaces away by its own.

Best regards,
Klaus

Thanks.
I needed 14 <br/> to get the first 11 missing characters down in place.

<br> is not accepted as I said.

Here is an alternative way ..........First-word etc + devices="flash" and an extra textdata with devices ="html5"

I hope these alternative ways are not browser dependent. They do work on Chrome,Firefox and Safari on Mac.
