Hi,

I saw that too and I also really hope for (a good performing implementation of) WebGL in iOS.

If WebGL would come to iOS and if it would be good, it could open these possibilities:
  • fisheye/little-planet projections
  • video panos
  • the direct usage of spherical and cylindrical images
  • lens flare effects
  • fewer memory need and more stable browsing due this
