Information area below panorama not displaying on iPad

Hi all, I have my panoramas set to display an information area below the panorama image. A small portion of this area appears above the fold and the rest below. It workes fine on desktops and iPads with KRPano versions up to 1.16.5. With newer KRPano versions it displays correctly on desktops, but not on iPads. On iPads the panorama now displays full screen and one cannot see or access the information area (I think it is behind the panorama with newer KR versions).

Version 1.16.5

Version 1.17.4

I used the update tool to create the new version. I'm testing with iOS 7.1.1 Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Martin

Nice tones. Is that blended by hand?

Thank you! I used an HDR Tonemappper for this, but I can't remember which one.

Do you remember which program had that tonemapper?
I can spend days exploring tonemappers!

My guess is it was Oloneo, or maybe Oloneo and Photomatix layered together with a certain level of transparency.

Looks like krpano is setting its height after your

Source code

1
2
3
myfunction(
$("#pano").height(getFlashSize());
);

So I would stick that in an krpano ipad only command and call js("myfunction()");

That way you can be sure the size is set after krpano sets itself.

Thanks for the reply, and thanks for your help, as I am not much of a coder, and will take this to someone helping me here. Could you give an example of a krpano ipad only command? I also have this problem with iphones, but maybe that is because of iOS 7. Would it be good to have a tablet or mobile only command to cover all the bases?

There's also a krpano onready js event you can put your javascript inside. I think that would be ideal. Its in the documentation for embedding.

Hi,

try using a non 100% height as initial value for the pano (e.g. 99%) , this should disable the krpano iOS 7 iPad height workarounds/fixes.

Btw - the body and html height of 100% plus still allowing scrolling might be the main reason for the problem. By removing these 100% settings, it might be possible to get it also working correctly.

Best regards,
Klaus

Thanks sachagriffin and Klaus,

Klaus, the 99% height makes it work perfectly, thanks for your help!
