HTML5 polygonal hotspots

Hi,

I'm new to krpano but have been reading through the documentation and forum for the last couple of days.

Is it possible to create polygonal hotspots for the html5 viewer. The examples I checked out said the image from 'alt_url' will be used instead of the hotspot, when using the html5 viewer. I've tested it, and it seems to be the case.
Alternatively is there any other element that can be plotted inside the pano (not fixed position like the layer/plugin) ?
