IE8 and IE9 without Adobe Flash

Hi!
There is a case of need to test the virtual tour in IE8 and IE9. The virtual tour is done using a standard KRpanoTools droplet MAKE VTOUR (MULTIRES) droplet.bat
If Adobe Flash Player is not installed on а computer, no error messages are displayed. No messages, no links to install Adobe Flash Player. The users sees a white screen only.
How to fix this problem?
Can anybody share the correct JS code?

Hi,

please show a link?
Are you using an up-to-date krpano version?
Normally this is working correctly of course (just tested again).

Best regards,
Klaus

I tried to collect more statistics. I asked my friends to do the test this code and they got the correct error message *unsure*
But my client saw a white screen. He did not test for correct error message with IE8, only IE9. And he did own patch in the html file for IE9.

Maybe it will help you understand.

Thank you for your attention to my problem.

Hi,

it seems the problem is just this part in the customized html file from your client:

Quellcode

1
color: #FFFFFF; /*background-color:#000000;*/

White text on white background!

The default background color is white and the CSS code for the black background color was commented-out.
Try selecting the text with the mouse and it will become visible ;-)

Best regards,
Klaus

Oops... Sometimes the most obvious things become invisible *rolleyes*
Thank you very much!
