polygon hotspots on html5 not available??

polygon hotspots on html5 not available??

hi there

i added some polygon hotspots but it doesn't work on html5.

here is the way i added polygon hotspots;

At the moment poligonal hotspots in html5 are not supported.

Is polygonal hot spot available for HTML5?

I need to lay some polygonal hot spot on the pano. Does the new HTML5 version support the polygonal hot spot? *smile*

That's really sad to hear. *sad*

A major competitor has already released this feature in November 2012.

Do you have any plans or schedule to implement this feature?
There are many of us waiting for it, and specially a propper way to display it in touch screen devices.

Idea: Desktop version has the rollover option, so we can see the hotspot only when hovering it
It would be nice to have an option to turn the polygon hotspot visibility ON/OFF by default when detecting touchscreen devices.

Thanks for identifying an alternative

Polygonal hotspots in HTML5 are absolutely vital to a big project I have had on hold for over a year now - waiting for this to come along. Permanently flashing pin-point hotspots are not appropriate for all scenarios. Supporting iPad, iPhones, etc. is not an option for me - it's an absolute must. I don't know what the delay is in supporting this in krpano but I am very grateful to DJIO for pointing out an alternative - which I will explore with much anticipation...

polygonal hotspots are working on iPhone and iPad too of course!

Or do you mean that example:

The alternative usage of image hotspots on touch devices is intended there. As there are no over/out events on touch devices it would be otherwise not easy to find the hotspots.

The polygonal hotspots in this example here are always the same on all devices:

Hi Klaus, the tour @ http://krpano.com/examples/118/examples/…textstyles.html is exactly what I am looking for (on a photographic tour)!

So why does it not work with my tour and why does it say in the builder menu under "HTML5 player incompatibilities" "Polygonal spots cannot be displayed with the HTML5 player"? I am using the latest Panotour Pro V2.3.0 beta 1...

That's beacause panotour is still not using the version 1.18, you will have to wait or manually replace the engine

So near...

This is so near and yet so infuriatingly far! I only ever do tours! It's weird because a tour is just a series of interconnected single spherical panoramas… I don't understand why this vital functionality isn't available for tours… *confused*

Panotour 2.3 final will have this option, because "beta 1" has been launch before the 1.18 release.

Just in case if there is a misunderstanding - polygonal hotspots can be used in any virtual tours too of course.

Klaus, sorry if it is not clear, but I know polygon hotspots are available for virtual tours - the problem is that with Panotour Pro V2.3.0 beta 1 they are not available for HTML5. The tour builder explicitly states this: the builder menu under "HTML5 player incompatibilities" states "Polygonal spots cannot be displayed with the HTML5 player". Also I have tried it and it DOES NOT WORK for iPad/iPhone (two HTML5 devices) devices… Unless I'm doing something wrong or using the wrong version if the software…?

I think creating/editing a big tour (40 plus connected spheres) with krpano alone is quite a lot of work, difficult to visualise and get the angles of entry and zoom right...?
