Hi,

yes, there is unfortunately a bug of the autorotate.tofov functionality in the Flash viewer of version 1.18.2. The HTML5 viewer isn't affected.
A fix is planed for 1.18.3.

Best regards,
Klaus

Krapno 1.17
touchdevice - use this element only on Touch devices
gesturedevice - use this element only on Gesture (Multi-Touch) devices

Krpano 1.18
New: device.mouse and device.touch device checks (device.touch is replacing the device.gesturedevice check).

In 1.18 touch is replacing gesturedevice which is to be used on MultiTouch devices. What has happend with touchdevice for nonMultiTouch devices as touchdevice is not existing anymore.
I assume this is possible to be device that is touch but not supporting Multi gesture or should we use just device.touch and not care about that?

Hi,

since version 1.17 the Flash and HTML5 licenses were merged into one single license.

See here:
http://krpano.com/buy/upgrade/#top

Btw - the old 'iPhone/iPad license' and the 'HTML5 Add-on' license were the same.
First the viewer was only for iPhone/iPad, but later universally for all HTML5 browsers - therefore the rename.

Best regards,
Klaus

Such devices practically don't exists anymore - this were only the Android Flashplayer on very old Android devices.

Thanks Klaus, then 128 euros for all, except Branding Free and Maps Plugin (external maps, no internal map features as plain image with radar...).

There is any example for plain-multires image with krpano 1.18? I need work with interactive maps (very very large plain images)
linked to cubical panorama in html5 for Android. Is that possible in new version 1.18 without other license?

I love krpano, I hope soon buy it. *g*

Hi,

yes, that license includes all krpano functionality (expect the maps plugins and the branding-free option).

About multires examples - here are some:
http://krpano.com/html5multires/#intro
or here:
http://krpano.com/examples/multires/#top

If a tour contains cubical and flat panos the same time doesn't matter, that works all the same. Each <scene> can be any pano type and is independent from any other scene.

Klaus

To what are you refereeing?
To krpano itself or a Chrome performance problem on a specific Android device?

Sorry, but I can't reproduce any problems like that on all my Android test devices...

Can you please list your not-working devices?

Are these devices using WebGL or CSS3D?

Check also the 'chrome::/gpu' site for problems or try disabling the GPU blacklist (via 'chrome://flags').

But generally I had to say when there is no or buggy GPU support from the browser, then there is not much that could be done from script (=krpano) side. When there are problems/bugs here there are typically only these possibilities - either Google implements some GPU/GPU-driver-bug workarounds directly in Chrome or the device manufacturer fixes the bugs their self by system updates.

Best regards,
Klaus

Hi,

such bugs should be better reported to Google here:
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list

The core bug is probably not the browser itself, it's more the device and its GPU and GPU drivers.

When reporting bugs there, include all information from 'chrome://gpu/'.

Klaus

I have the same problem on the samsung galaxy note 2 phone, and note 8 tablet.

This is quite exasperating, I need to use these tools to demo my work. I seemed to work on the first tour that I built after licensing KRPano in November, but now I get the same garbled screen when loading tours.

I am really frustrated.

Hi,

sorry, but as said that's a Chrome/Android problem specific to your device.
That's not the fault from krpano and there is nothing that could be done from krpano side to fix this.

When you say it was working in November, then there was for sure an Android or Chrome update in the meantime that had broken this!

The only way to gets such problems fixed is posting here:
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list

Maybe using Android Firefox - due my experience it had a more stable Android GPU support.

Best regards,
Klaus
