Gertting a smaller image and dont loose a lot of quality

Hello guys,

Im wrking with images 30gb-40gb bif, and the zoom is just incredible.....but im having pc issues when working the images on psb.....

Is there a hint or clue so i can get good result with tat images and still get the zoom i want?
