YouTube support 360Videos

Hi,

Now it is possible to uplaod 360Video on YouTube.

Here is the tutorial : https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6178631

As you can see we need to add some MetaData into the Video, uplaod the file and YouTube do the job.

All MetaData are include with Python.

Does someone already test to add the MetaData from Python ?

As I'm totally new on Python, so if someone can help me to convert a simple video .... It will be great !! *smile*

I've install Pyhton on my computer but now ......... *blink*

Shame it only works on Chrome or Android at the moment. Until it become more universal across all browsers its not going to be easy to promote :(

You are right virtual pete but it is the first release ... so in a few months everything could be solve.

So that's why i think it is interesting to know how to manage this 360Videos. *smile*

Lets hope so. I am waiting for my delivery of Giroptic 360cam which hopefully will arrive in May and open new doors for an exciting developent in the 360 tour world :)

I just uploaded one 360 video, and the rendering it's so bad, the distortion is so ugly, the only good point I see here is to have free very powerful servers , but the rest, for me at this time it's just a very bad engine compared to krpano

I found an Apps from YouTube that can convert 360° Video to be use into YouTube :
