"Walking" in a virtual tour

Just something I was thinking about today. Would it be possible to replicate a "walking" effect between hotspots? Is it something you can achieve with tween effects?

With the upcoming Virtual Reality release, we could have a low-cost Matterport alternative :)

What do you mean exactly? One way is to take normal 360 images and also join them with videos from each scene forwards and backwards. It's easy to use hotspots to play a video at then change scenes. It's been done many times with krpano.

Thanks for your reply sacha, I don't quite understand you.

Do you have an example of the above?

The "walking" effect I'm talking about can be seen in this video, in where there are hotspots in the SAME scene I think, hence it looks like you're walking in the room.

That data comes from an actual 3d model. Klaus wrote something about such Tweens in another thread.
I don't know of an easy way to create them. They do look better though.

Can't seem to find the thread you're talking about. Do you have a link?

I'm "closing" this thread. See Matterport for related discussion.
