Thanks for your feedback. ;-)

Hi Keal. in this tour the first two panos used a GoPro. Pics taken every 60 deg and tilted twice to get best coverage. Stitching is not great but for a lightweight solution the GoPro works ok. I used a 15m tripod extened to about 4.5m on this occasion. The GoPro is ideal for this type of work if using a tripod like this as anything too heavy makes the mast a bit whippy after you extend over 4-5m.

Hi Keal, I only used 1 x GoPro 3 and stitched the images in PTGui, I am sure the other rig works but buying 10 GoPro´s plus the 10 unit holder thats quite some investment. I am waiting for the 360cam to be delivered from Giroptic and I will report back once I have it but for sure it will not be the same quality as 10 cameras but price wise there is no comparison. On top of my tripod I have a remote control rotator that automatically rotates in 60deg increments and houses the GoPro.

I really depends on what you want to acheive to balance the initial investment.

Hi virtual pete

Thanks for your reply.

I don't care about the price, I'm looking for the Quality.

And I want to do 360° x 360° Photos and Videos.

Here http://shop.360heros.com/category-s/1817.htm you can see the different Holder.

I don't undertand why some of them are talking about 360°x180° image like this one : H3PRO10HD (360 VIDEO IN SUPER HD) (12,000 x 6,000) *huh*

It looks fine Keal, The field of vision can only be 180deg floor to ceiling and so long as it is capturing allround 360 deg then you will have a 360x360 effect. The image produced itself can only be 360 x 180.

Hi panomaster, virtual pete,

Could you share the originals images from GoPro ?

Feel free to add your watermark, I don't care about this.

I'd like to see all the process from shooting to creat a virtual tour.

I need to know how much time it takes to creat the virtual tour. (Without Hotpoints or Options)

Thanks a lot for your help. ;-)

Hi Keal. I no longer have the originals as once I have stitched them and happy with the result I clear them out, sorry. But to be fair the stitching does not take long.

Unfortunately not - I don't store source images for more than one year.

Kealkeal, if you really want to make high quality spherical panoramas, forget about GoPro. It gives you poor quality, high compressed JPG images. That's why we decided to stop making aerial views with GoPro and started using NEX-5 or DSLR (you can compare quality at http://panoramy.ai360.com.pl/pano/multires/7402.html or http://panoramy.ai360.com.pl/pano/multires/7403.html - these panos were maid with NEX-5).

Some people use the GoPro to create panoramas from the air, but they do it because they have a small drones that are not able to carry DSLR (like Phantom).

For making high quality spherical panoramas most people use DSLR + 8-16mm lens (usually fisheye).

Hi panomaster

Thanks for your feedback.

As you can read I'm not a photographer so I'm a little bit lost. I'm more a programmer. *rolleyes*

Could you tell me what kind of materiel I need when I have the DSLR + 8-16mm lens ?

How can I make à 360° photo ?

Thanks for your help.
